If you are applying your new skills for the first time, or taking on a particularly complex model build, we can provide ongoing coaching and support. If you are working with an unwieldy legacy model, we can re-build it for you.

Coaching

Our coaching service lets you:

Consolidate knowledge from the course.
Ensure the model has been built with due care and attention to design and build quality.
Maintain complete understanding of the model.
Retain and enhance model building competencies in-house.

Ongoing coaching and support works as follows:

We schedule periodic meetings – every two weeks often works well. The meetings take place online using screen sharing technology which allows us to virtually sit with you looking at the same screen as we discuss your model.
You send us your model a couple of days before the meeting, and we review progress.
We give you our feedback on the work you have done since the last meeting and discuss the changes that you will want to make. We also assist you to plan the next phase of work.

We have had great feedback from clients who have used this service to support them during their model building. Our clients have found that it ongoing assistance as they develop a model is more constructive than an audit at the end.

The service is relatively inexpensive because you have already received solid modeling training and there is no travel involved. We only charge for progress reviews and the time spent having the meeting. 4 to 5 meetings are often sufficient, depending on the complexity of the model.

Model build / rebuild services

In addition to our straight forward commissioned model build services, we also offer a very cost-effective model rebuild service. Modelers often inherit unwieldy models from third parties that have not structured the model well. After attending one of our courses, people often find the legacy model they have been struggling with for months intolerable.

The best solution is for the modeler to rebuild the monster model from scratch. Unfortunately, companies are seldom willing to release resources for this type of one-off, time-intensive work. Improving the model’s usability in the long term is therefore deferred in favour of continuing with the existing model. This decision results in chronically high model maintenance and update costs and real concerns about introducing errors in the process.

The alternative solution is to ask us to rebuild the model for you. We can normally turn round a model rebuild in a matter of a few weeks, saving you time and money in the future by ensuring a solid and useable model.
