Model Review
To accommodate differing client requirements and timetables, we offer three levels of model review services:
Level I
A comprehensive report of the model's technical integrity that relies heavily on our proprietary software, CodeTracer. CodeTracer can find potentially serious technical anomalies that other, less sophisticated model processing software is likely to miss, e.g. does a range reference in a formula include all cells it should?
Level II
Building from the Level I starting point, a Level II review includes a moderated review session with key client personnel and, if requested, industry experts that focuses on gaining comfort with commercial-level questions:
• Does the model properly reflect the key commercial contracts and
financing agreements?
• Are the input assumptions reasonable?
• Do the financial statements make sense?
Level III
Through a joint offering with a leading accounting firm, Financial Mechanics can support complete line-by-line model reviews, including tax and accounting opinion letters to support shareholder or bank financing requirements.
