Who We Are

The team at Financial Mechanics has more than 75 years combined experience in developing and using financial models, with complimentary senior-level expertise as equity investor, financial advisor, and arranger / lender.

Financial Mechanics was formed by John Richter, a co-founder of F1F9. At F1F9 John co-developed what is widely regarded by financial and commercial institutions worldwide as an extremely efficient and error-reducing approach to financial modeling. In response to client demand for an expansion in the range of services and courses offered, Financial Mechanics was born.

Financial Mechanics has since been strengthened by the appointment of Kenny Whitelaw-Jones, who has joined the firm from Grant Thornton as a Director and is Managing Director – Europe. As well, Financial Mechanics is reinforced by specialist financial modeling instructors and a non-executive Advisory Board.
